    Westmoreland County Free Medical Shuttle

    Providing a free medical shuttle for adult residents with non-emergency medical transportation for facilities in northern Westmoreland County.

    Program Overview

    The Westmoreland County Free Medical Shuttle serves northern Westmoreland County, providing free transportation for adults aged 18 and older to and from medical facilities. The service covers areas including New Kensington, Arnold, Lower Burrell, Parnassus, and parts of Vandergrift. The shuttle operates Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at no cost to riders.

    How the Free Shuttle Service Works

    To schedule a ride, call us as soon as possible at 724-895-8214.

    Either you or your doctor’s office—if located in New Kensington, Arnold, Parnassus, Lower Burrell, or Vandergrift—can make the call to arrange your transportation.

    Please be ready one hour before your appointment.

    If you require an escort, they can ride with you free of charge.

    Patients are welcome to use our services multiple times throughout the year for both one-way and round-trip transportation needs.

    Hours of Operations

    The Westmoreland County Free Medical Shuttle operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM (or earlier if needed) to 5:00 PM. (Not in operation on major holidays)

    If we are unable to answer your call, please leave a message with your name and phone number. We are dedicated to returning your call promptly.

    Eligibility Requirements
    This service is available to all adult patients visiting facilities in New Kensington, Arnold, Parnassus, Lower Burrell, and Vandergrift.

    Transportation includes pick-up at your residence, transport to your appointment, and return to your residence.

    Please note, this is not an emergency transportation service.

    In case of an emergency, dial 9-1-1, as our staff is not trained to provide medical emergency assistance.

    Transportation may be canceled at our discretion due to inclement weather.

    This is a curb-to-curb service—our staff is not permitted to enter homes or assist patients beyond their use of crutches, canes, or walkers when entering or exiting the vehicle.

    Important: Our shuttle is not handicapped-accessible.
