Internship Opportunities

Our internship program offers students the opportunity to get real experience in the fields they are studying. Traditionally, students that apply for an internship with us are majoring in psychology, counseling, social work, education, creative arts and administrative fields. Our internship program is open to students earning their bachelor’s, master’s degree or doctoral studies and may be dependent on geographic locations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we offer career advancement?

Wesley Family Services offers career pathing opportunities for advancement throughout an employee’s tenure with the agency. We regularly promote from within!! We offer tuition reimbursement, reduced tuition cost with partnered universities, CEUs, and FREE supervision toward licensure.

How soon do benefits kick in?

Employees eligible for medical benefits will be enrolled and these benefits will be effective the first of the month following one full calendar month after their start date. Ask a member of our Talent Acquisition Team for more details.

Part time expectation versus full time?

Full time employees are expected to work 30 hours or more, part-time employees are expected to work 16 hours to 29.5 hours.

Can I hold more than one position at your agency?

Yes, pending approval from the primary position’s supervisor or program.

What is involved in your hiring process?

Interviews are being offered in-person or via Zoom or Skype

If you are selected for the position, the Talent Acquisition Department will contact you to make a formal job offer and discuss the next steps in the onboarding process. If you are not selected, you can expect an email communication, typically within two weeks of your interview.

Depending on the position, successful completion of a pre-employment physical, TB test, and drug screen may be required.  All positions require a current PA State Criminal clearance (Act 33), Child Abuse Clearance (Act 34), and FBI Clearance free of any conditions that would make you ineligible for employment. Based on your position, you may also be asked to provide Act 168 clearances.

What is your dress code?

Dress code varies from program to program dependent on the services you provide, but is mostly business casual.
