As autistic children in Allegheny County face perils, high needs and waiting lists, providers look for solutions

“In April, Wesley opened a new center and program in Monroeville for children under the age of 7 with autism or developmental delays. At the Autism Center for Growth, the services include parenting education in addition to skill development for autistic children.”

Monroeville Times Express: Wesley Family Services opens Autism Center for Growth in Monroeville

Wesley officials unveiled the new Autism Center for Growth at their offices in Monroeville, which boasts a sensory room, a small gym and an area to meet and interact with new clients.

“We have a clinic-based applied behavioral analysis services and with the center, we can now bring kids into the clinic instead of providing services at their home,” Winner said. “It allows for more of a structured setting.”

WPXI: New Kensington Downtown Partnership food shuttle receives upgrade, expands hours

Public Source: ‘All Hands on Deck: Allegheny’s smallest school district depends on big community spirit

SEEN: Wesley Family Services gala honors CEO

The annual Gala honored CEO Doug Muetzel in 2024, celebrating his 25 years of mission and service with Wesley Family Services.

The party began with a cocktail reception before WTAE’s Shannon Perrine welcomed everyone to the ballroom for dinner and the program. More than 500 guests made the gala the most highly attended in its history.
