Thank You Letter from Student

Student Thank You Letter!

Dear Wesley Highschool Staff,

It has been two and a half years now that I attended Wesley Highschool. Originally I was placed in this school begrudgingly against my will. I was completely dissatisfied and wanted out. I was very accustomed to what I would describe as the “factory environment” of public school. So I assumed such things about Wesley, the teachers don’t care about the students, the kids are just numbers, and all they want are good grades to reflect the academic prowess of the school.

I was completely wrong.

If somebody offered me the chance to go back in time and correct my irresponsible behavior at my homeschool, I would not take it. I regret nothing, without Wesley I would not be where I am today. The administration and staff of this exemplary high school actually cared! This is not something typical, the staff went out of their way to help students in any way they could. I have never seen a team so devoted and personal with their students. It was not that “factory environment” I was so accustomed to, but instead, real relationships existed, and people actually cared.

I would like to apologize to any teacher I wronged or behaved poorly with, you all put up with my jokes and opinions and became close to me. I am eighteen years old now and I say this earnestly, I consider you all my friends. The patience you all have with students surpasses that which I have ever seen. And I thank you for it. Though I am sure many students don’t reach out and tell you these things, every one of you has changed so many lives for the better. My plans remain the same for entering the seminary upon graduating, being In a facility like Wesley and interacting with other kids my age has helped me better understand and appreciate mental health, and I have learned many new things I previously never encountered. Such knowledge applies to my vocation.

I am in great debt to everybody at this school for all the things people have done for me. I implore all of you on the staff to not feel discouraged, I know certain days are trying working in an environment like this, but you all change so many lives! Just as you changed mine.

You all have a permanent place in my prayers, and I am looking forward to speaking with everybody in my later years and staying in touch.

Thank you to everybody at Wesley Highschool.

~Student
