    Wellness Center

Providing opportunities for improved wellness and Quality Whole Person Care with improved health outcomes and overall quality of life in the community and online.

    • 1045 4th Ave, New Kensington, PA 15068
    Program Overview

With financial support from the Community Foundation of WC in partnership with the Westmoreland County Commissioners and Westmoreland County Department of Human Services, WFS opened a wellness center at our Pioneer location in New Kensington.

The Wellness Center’s aim is to foster improved wellness and Quality Whole Person Care in order to improve health outcomes and overall quality of life.  This will be accomplished by assessing and addressing both Behavioral Health (BH) and Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) needs and offering activities, workshops and groups related to Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) eight dimensions of wellness.  We understand that providing quality care is not enough, we must focus on whole person wellness.  If someone’s basic needs are not met, it is unlikely they will be successful in treatment.  Services out of the wellness center are available to individuals served, WFS employees and community members.

    Join Us for a Workshop

The workshops are offered both in-person and over zoom to reach more participants.  They are facilitated by external partners or by WFS staff.  We offer many different kinds of workshops focused on self care through the multiple dimensions of wellness:
