QWPC Impact Awards 2025

Quality Whole Person Care (QWPC) is Wesley Family Services’ service philosophy that enhances the clinical care provided to individuals served while also strengthening the way we support one another as colleagues. QWPC is a comprehensive approach to services centered on holistic care and overall wellness. The model focuses on each interdependent dimension of wellness, including the individual’s/family’s behavioral, social, physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, occupational, financial and environmental wellbeing. Only by addressing all of these components together can we truly empower others to reach their full potential. The QWPC Impact Awards recognize WFS staff members who have embraced this model and use it in their positions with individuals served and coworkers. Each of these individuals has truly made an impact on those around them.

QWPC is centered on the ‘whole’ of the person and overall wellness. In this case, the ‘whole’ of the person is the organization. Although housed within Information Technology, Nick looks outside the IT group to assist with whatever needs to be done, which is exactly what we want to see done. The overall wellness of the organization is always top of mind.
- Always has the best interests of our clients at heart.
- Makes sure that our clients are getting everything that they need while she is on the clock and makes
sure the rest of her coworkers are helping to keep them well. - Advocates for what is best for our IDD clients at all costs.
- Provides service with a smile, no matter how she is feeling, and gives her 100% to all clients.
- Always willing to help her fellow co-workers, offering helpful advice and making sure everyone is giving their best each shift.
- Worked with the skilled nursing facility to make sure a client who left the group home due to illness was receiving the best care possible, and ensuring other staff were visiting and taking items to her on a regular basis.

Michelle demonstrated a keen ability to address the full spectrum of a client’s needs, utilizing a person-centered, recovery-oriented approach, by collaborating with outside employees at a skilled nursing facility to ensure that her client received the best care possible while away at the facility. Not only did Michelle successfully improve her client’s physical wellness by doing this, she also worked to improve her client’s social and emotional wellness by encouraging WFS staff to visit the client and take items to the client on a regular basis. This connection that Michelle fostered between herself, WFS staff and her client,
while the client was away, is remarkable and, to me, represents transformational care. By going above and beyond to
support her clients in ways such as this, Michelle uniquely embodies QWPC.
- Demonstrates what it truly means to be an impactful, compassionate, and dedicated individual.

• Above-and-beyond approach reaches so many students and made them feel safe to express themselves.

Kelly embodies the WFS QWPC philosophy and approach. She positively impacts several aspects of our students’ lives and well-being including academic, emotional, and personal areas of our students’ lives. This impact is exemplified through her efforts to resurrect the High School Honor Roll and Attendance awards program as well as her extraordinary work with the redesign and implementation of the Greenhouse Program. In short, as Kelly’s supervisor Amy Townsend wrote, Kelly’s efforts are ‘above and beyond. Kelly has demonstrated through her 13 years that she is a caring and dedicated professional. It is a pleasure to choose her for this most well-deserved award and recognition.

toward completion of her MSW degree at Carlow University. - Demonstrates her dedication daily by taking on extra families to prevent gaps in their services.

- Attends events at Allegheny County CYF to market the FFT program to caseworkers.

I nominate Alana for this award because despite significant transitions in leadership and staffing, she continued to ensure that
families received the support they needed. She took on additional caseloads, mentored new staff, and actively promoted the program to caseworkers, all while completing her MSW. Truly leading by example. Her ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and community providers has been instrumental in the program’s success and growth. Through her leadership and compassionate approach, Alana has not only strengthened the program but has also set a foundation for its continued impact.

may create barriers for the child and family to make progress toward treatment. - Creates treatment plans and leads her Autism Center for Growth team or Behavioral Health Therapists to implement treatment for children with an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis to increase their ability to talk, engage in social interactions with peers and gain self-help skills to prepare them
for transition to kindergarten and beyond. - Supervises clinicians, offering support for their work and for their personal needs, modeling and encouraging healthy work/life balance.
- Helps train interns from the University of Pittsburgh into qualified, capable clinicians in the social service field.

I think Robin Veshosky best exemplifies QWPC and thus should win the Impact Award for Behavioral Health – Children. The nomination really speaks to how great of a job she does representing Wesley Family Services by not only supporting her
clients but also in supporting others by taking interns and developing others and working to develop the virtual option
for the Wonder Kids curriculum. Robin went above and beyond in stepping into a leadership role as the Clinical Site Manager and helping WFS to innovate by growing the ACFG program.
- Works with children and adolescents who are receiving the highest level of community based care.
- Provides individual and family therapy, crisis intervention services and service coordination.
- Establishes strong relationships with other providers in the community.
- Links her families with her vastly known resources so they can have long term support once Family Based Services end.
- Shares her experience and resources with the other therapists in the
program.

Reading Christina’s nomination, I was deeply moved by the genuine commitment she shows to children, adolescents, and families — not only through her clinical care but also by consistently going above and beyond to connect them with vital community resources and support. Additionally, her dedication to the team, where she serves as both a mentor and a valuable resource, truly embodies the spirit of QWPC.
She not only exemplifies the WFS Quality Whole Person Care service philosophy, but she also demonstrates the qualities of a servant leader. Many people have their own methods and theories of how to lead, but true leaders lead from the front. Lissette’s ability to not only lead her team, but support it and help it to grow is a direct testament to her ability to pour into those around her and place them in position to succeed. That empowerment has translated through the work of her team to provide transformational care.
