Join the UPMC New Kensington Family Health Center staff for the “New Kensington Kitchen” – a cooking demonstration focused on making healthier diet choices.
This session will include a discussion on health diagnoses such as diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, etc. and how your diet can be improved to help with these conditions.
The discussion will be followed by a demonstration kitchen where participants will learn how to cook a healthy meal with ingredients of their choice.
Participants can take home recipes, ingredients, and grocery store vouchers to help continue making healthy meals at home.
Disclaimer: Attendance of minors 14 years old and older will be considered upon further discussion with the Wellness Ambassadors.
