Wesley Spectrum’s Annual Gala featured in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s #SEENintheCity column

March 6, 2017 by Pamela Butler

More than 350 guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, dessert and a photo booth, where top hats and sunglasses were required accessories. WTAE-TV’s Shannon Perrine emceed the event and encouraged everyone to bid on the donated auction items, such as a trip for two to New York City to attend a taping of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.” The most inspiring portion of the evening came when a young teenage girl read aloud a poem she wrote that detailed her tumultuous past and how she finally found love, acceptance, guidance and a safe environment when she came into Wesley’s foster care program.

Family Services of Western Pennsylvania featured in the Kittanning Paper

October 19, 2016 by Pamela Butler

Family Services of Western Pennsylvania is running a Drug and Alcohol Treatment program and so far it’s running smoothly! Currently, the program is working with individuals, but there are plans to start running support groups.

“With the individual sessions, you can work more of the individual needs and work directly with someone one-on-one, but with a group the nice thing is you can get individuals together to help support each other, hear the common needs of the group,” said Amy Bologna, Manger of Co-Occurring Programs.
